Koa Taylor Guitars are always special instruments. This one really is super special, with a AA grade hand selected top, built as a one off for Dave Mann Music by Taylor Guitars. This started life as a K24CE, Taylors' top of the line all Koa guitar, which we've then upgraded with premium top. The result is a visually stunning guitar, with beautiful rich golden hues and deep lustrous figure, only available in the best of the Hawaiian Koa. Examples such as this are extremely rare, with Taylor paying over $250,000 for a log of timber of this quality. This guitar has wooden inlays designed by Andy Powers, Bob Taylor's prodigy, and they look stunning! It feaures flowers flowing on the fretboard and headstock, which complements the natural beauty of the Koa timber employed in its' construction.
Sonically Hawaiian Koa has everything, warm bass, rich midrange and a silvery high end sparkle, with a crystal clear response. To enhance this guitar further, we've added a Bone nut and saddle, which feautres Taylor's Wave Compensation, for perfect intonation. Tuning machines are a critical part of the guitar, which is why we've gone for Gotoh's 510's, 21:1 gear ratio and silky smooth, the perfect compliment to such a beautiful guitar.
