Offering a in indulgent upgrade from the already stellar Martin D35, this 'MP" version has a premium Madagascar Rosewood back and sides. Madagascar Rosewood is chosen for its likeness to the unavailable Brazilian, a dense timber with intense grain figure and stunning tonal qualities. At around nine times the price of Indian Rosewood, Madagascar is usually reserved for Limited Edition and Custom Shop instruments, on this production instrument it represents tremendous value. Martin have also used their new 'High Performance' neck, a slimmer, faster neck profile first seen on the Perfoming Artist Series. A classy visual touch is ivoroid binding rather than the usual Corian, for a more vintage inspired appeal.
